Robert Jacobs

Rob qualified from Exeter University in 2002 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Law and a Diploma in Legal Practice.

He commenced his career at Bevan Ashfords (now Ashfords) and after a spell with Foot Anstey he returned to Ashfords before starting this firm in 2012.

Rob has Criminal Litigation Accreditation and is a specialist in all areas of criminal law, particularly motoring offences.

Katharine Todd

Katharine has an Honours degree in Law (LLB Hons) from Exeter University and Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She qualified in 2004.

Katharine completed her training contract at Ashfords where she worked until starting this firm in 2012. She completed her Criminal Law Accreditation at the University of Swansea in 2008.

Katharine has experience in all areas of criminal law from motoring offences to murder, including serious Health and Safety breaches. She is an accredited Court and Police Station Duty Solicitor.

Laila Jhaveri

Laila Jhaveri qualified as a solicitor in 2002 after training at Bond Pearce (now Womble Bond Dickinson) in Plymouth. Having worked in environmental and planning law since qualification she decided to change to criminal law in 2017. She joined Jacobs and Todd in 2017 and became accredited to work at the police station and Magistrates’ Courts in 2018.

In September 2021 she obtained Higher Rights of Audience which allows her appear in the Crown Court. Whilst relatively new to the job she has already had a number of successful outcomes for clients in the Magistrates’ Court in the areas of harassment, possession of bladed articles and alleged assaults in a domestic context.
